Chapter 5 Chapter 5- Getting Ready

JULIANA'S POV

I stood in my pyjamas in front of my mirror contemplating on what to wear.

He said dress nice but what did 'nice' even mean? Ughhh. Boys are so confusing.

"What's wrong, honey?" said my mom, stepping into my room.

"I've got a date today. Well, at least I think it's a date. I mean he didn't really specify, only said he was going to take me out and told me to 'dress nice'."

"What happened to that nice dress your aunt got you for your birthday?"

"I had to leave it at Dad's house. I didn't have enough space to pack it."

"It's getting late but the stores don't close until a couple hours. Do you want to go shopping?" She asked and I smiled in response. I'd never turn down an opportunity to shop.

"I don't really like it. It's too baggy" I said as I stepped out of the changing room wearing a long blue dress that didn't compliment my figure at all. My mother agreed and I went back in to change out of it.

I sighed tiredly. This had been about the 10th dress I had tried on and I could tell my mother was getting bored.
