Revenge

Chapter 8 Rae Yan, homie?

As soon as the phone got through, Amanda heard a female voice coming from the other end questioning her: “Mia, what’s wrong with you? You did not come back last night? Is everything okay? We have class at 6:30, remember? You are done once Madam Gorski find out!”

From what she had seen earlier in the mirror of herself, she was now a school girl; and now, the call just confirmed it once again; Amanda took in a deep breath and answered. "I don't know the way back."

"Where are you now?" Asked Rae Yan, who seemed silent for a moment.

"Tianjiao Amusement Park," Said Amanda, looking back at Lily Shen's grinning face on the big screen above the amusement park.

Rae Yan wondered: "How could you have gone so far? Forget it, you're such an idiot with completely no sense of direction all the time; I doubt you would ever crawl back even if I tell you the route now; I will send you a message and follow my instruction; if you still cannot find the way, just hail a taxi...”

Soon a message came through; Amanda knew now for sure that the body she had taken belonged to a girl named “Mia”, an art school student in C City; if she wanna live on, the body was her only hope and from now on she had to be “Mia”. But after everything of last night, with the messy clothes she was wearing, she was going to be mocked by the others.

Amanda did not go back as Rae Yan had instructed her; she fumbled through her purse; judging from the cash and small items in the purse, “Mia” was not rich.

Amanda managed to buy two cheap pieces of clothes from the street vendors and changed into them, a white T-shirt and jeans, just good enough to cover up the bruises on her body; she tied up her straight black hair, which reached to her chest. In the mirror of a public restroom, she saw a face with a clear face and dark, bright eyes.

Perhaps because she had already died once, Amanda was particularly distressed by the girl in the mirror. She vaguely remembered something about last night: she or “Mia”, which she could not distinguish well, had been taken by the president of the school to attend that special occasion with a boss of company.
