Chapter 122
Chapter 122 I Don’t Want a Divorce, Nancy
Nancy calmly looked at Nicholas and merely curled her lips into a spine-chilling smile. “I’ve already decided to divorce you, Nicholas.”
“The divorce cannot happen without my agreement and my signature.” Nicholas continued to stare at her with great intensity.
“I’ll wait until you say yes.”
“Let me repeat myself, Nancy. I will never divorce you.”
She chuckled. “There’s no need to be so absolute, Nicholas. Nothing is ever set in stone. Everything in this world can be changed, including a person’s thoughts. Talk to me when you’ve thought this through. I will be waiting here for you.”
“Here?”
Nicholas looked around the room as realization struck him. “You’re going to be living here?”
“Yes.” She nodded confidently. “From today onward, I’ll be staying in this hotel. Since we’re going to be divorced, we can’t live together anymore.”
“We haven’t even gotten divorced yet. Even if we were divorced, do you think I would actually let you stay in a hotel?”
“I think it’s nice to be living in a hotel.”
Then, she pulled open the curtains to reveal the colorful lights outside the window. “The night view is gorgeous. Once I draw the curtains, the room is silent and tranquil. The bed is also very soft. I can sleep well at night.”
“Do we not have any of that at home?”
“Of course, it does, but…”
There was so much she wanted to say that died on the tip of her tongue. In the end, she looked up and smiled at him. “From now on, that’s no longer my home.”
“We will now be living separately, Nicholas. We’ll live separate lives.”
Her words were extremely cruel.
This was a scenario she had nightmares of in the past. She was terrified that she would only day wake up to a divorce. One of her greatest fears was for the two of them to end up as two completely unrelated strangers who never saw each other ever again.
Still, it was an undeniable fact that people were ever-changing.
