Nancy calmly looked at Nicholas and merely curled her lips into a spine-chilling smile. “I’ve already decided to divorce you, Nicholas.”

“The divorce cannot happen without my agreement and my signature.” Nicholas continued to stare at her with great intensity.

“I’ll wait until you say yes.”

“Let me repeat myself, Nancy. I will never divorce you.”

She chuckled. “There’s no need to be so absolute, Nicholas. Nothing is ever set in stone. Everything in this world can be changed, including a person’s thoughts. Talk to me when you’ve thought this through. I will be waiting here for you.”

Nicholas looked around the room as realization struck him. “You’re going to be living here?”

“Yes.” She nodded confidently. “From today onward, I’ll be staying in this hotel. Since we’re going to be divorced, we can’t live together anymore.”

“We haven’t even gotten divorced yet. Even if we were divorced, do you think I would actually let you stay in a hotel?”
