“Nancy…” Nancy called out again, but the living room remained empty. There was no one there.

Unwilling to believe this, she then checked the bathroom, the balcony, and the kitchen, but the outcomes were the same: everywhere was empty, and there was no sign of Nicholas. Could it all have been just a dream? Now that I’ve woken up, it’s time for me to come to terms with reality.

In an instant, her heart sank, and her mood took a sharp downturn. I must have gone crazy to have such a vivid dream. She reached out and touched her lips. Last night, they had kissed several times, especially the final couple of times when Nicholas kissed her passionately, eagerly, and wildly. She even seemed to remember those tender sensations, his scorching breath, his attractive voice, and the low moans he gave when he was aroused.
