Scarlett’s POV

Jack Fuller doesn’t like the mysterious man.

Damian Vanderbilt. A name I have never heard of in my life. I mean, I know the name Vanderbilt. That family owns more wealth than a king, and they are low–key as they are rich. But this name has never had anything to do with the Fullers.

I mean, why would they? The Fullers can barely make it to the top ten families in the city.

But Jack Fuller, the man who sucks up to riches like Sebastian, doesn’t like Damian Vanderbilt. No, not

dislike.

Jack Fuller hates him, and… is a bit afraid of him. He looks at Damian Vanderbilt in the exact same way he used to look at me when I was little.

It’s a pure hatred for no good reason, and this hatred is deeply rooted in Jack Fuller.

He called this man to his home, only to disrespect him to his face? And the oddest part is, Damian Vanderbilt doesn’t seem to be offended. A rare quality for people with his kind of social status.

The tension between Jack Fuller and the mysterious stranger makes it hard to talk. I glance at Sebastian, and he has his eyes on Ava, who is still sitting on the ground in shock. But he is not picking her up into his arms and biting Jack Fuller’s head off.
