Chapter 201
Barclay glanced at Moira, who had already fallen asleep beside him, and suddenly felt sorry for her. He picked up his phone and sent a message in the group chat. [Not going for coffee anymore. My wife is tired. You guys go ahead without us.]
As soon as Barclay’s message was sent, it stirred up a storm in the group chat.
Harvey: [What kind of act are you pulling, Barclay? Ten minutes ago, you asked me to call you later, and now you’re bailing on us?]
Finley: [I’ve already left home with the car, and now you tell me this?]
Evan: [Barclay never intended to go.]
Harvey: [I’m speechless.]
Finley: [Unbelievable.]
Six minutes later, Barclay replied: [I really want to go, but my wife is tired.]
Evan: [Oh, we know you have a wife!]
Harvey: [Stop using your wife as an excuse.]

Finley: [You sure love your wife!]
Barclay: [I know you guys don’t have wives.]
Harvey cursed at Barclay and Finley joined in.
Evan: [I’m speechless.]
Barclay: [Did it sting you guys?]
The group chat became chaotic, but Barclay silenced his phone and set it aside.
Twenty minutes later, the car slowly pulled into the driveway, Barclay unbuckled his seatbelt and got out. He went to the passenger side, unbuckled Moira’s seatbelt, and carried her out of the car.
He initially worried that his actions might wake Moira, but she slept soundly, undisturbed by anything.
Barclay placed her on the bed and removed her shoes. As he did, Moira suddenly turned over, causing her skirt to ride up to her thighs, revealing the edge of her light pink underwear.
Barclay was shocked and lifted his gaze at Moira’s lips, which had puckered up slightly. He restrained himself for a moment but ultimately couldn’t resist.
He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers.
In her dream, Moira was enjoying a delicious meal. When Barclay kissed her lips, she dreamed of biting a steak, the savory broth tantalizing her taste buds. As she took a bite, the sauce coated her lips, and she instinctively licked them,
Barclay froze for a moment, looking at Moira, who was unaware of her actions. Two seconds later, he reluctantly withdrew.
One day, he would claim her completely.
Moira slept deeply. She woke up when the sky was already dark.
As she looked at the familiar ceiling, she suddenly sat up straight. ‘What happened? Weren’t we supposed to meet Barclay’s friend? How did I
end up sleeping in my bed?’
Moira hurriedly got out of bed, realizing she had overslept, and rushed to find Barclay.
There was no one in the room. She thought of the study and ran to it.
She asked, “Weren’t we supposed to go for coffee?”
