“Yes.” The servant lowered her eyes and responded respectfully. Spencer nodded his head with satisfaction. Then he turned around and went out of the building.

Spencer was relieved that Lucia was under surveillance. He wasn’t really afraid that Lucia would run off with the baby, but that she might still have feelings for Arthur after the baby was born. And what he was afraid of was she wanted to create an opportunity to get in touch with Arthur. After all, the child was Arthur’s, so he had to let Lucia give up that idea as soon as the child was born, making it impossible for the father and child to see each other!
