CHAPTER 24

Selena then went to her room. She put the chocolate bar on table with a slam, paced back and forth for a few minutes. Determination took over her. She then locked the door and took off her dress, doubting her will power all the while. Before she could move to the window, a knock on the door send her to tremble for a moment. She wrapped a blanket around her chest and opened the door slightly. Zaden was there, as usual leaning on the door. His eye widened at the site of Selena wrapped in a blanket, messy hair, her shoulder reflecting beam of moonlight and her prominent collarbone making Zaden salivate.

“Zaden, I need a minute, please…” he nodded in panic and she closed the door. He turned around and crashed his body backwards to a nearby wall, exhaling a deep breath which he didn’t notice he was holding. Selena wore back her V-neck white t-shirt and long floral chiffon skirt before she zoomed to open the door. Once its open, she moved to side and stretched her hand inwards, as if inviting him in.

“What were you doing?” he asked

“Orion gave me homework” she said.

He smiled and walked into the room. Selena, on the other hand, turned around to walk out of the room when she heard a low voice and a warm grip on her wrist.

“Wait…” Selena turned around, slightly surprised

“You are leaving?” Zaden asked with a frown

“Ya, it’s a single bed. You can’t share it and expect to be well rested, can you? Lesson number one, always get enough sleep” she pointed her fingers at him.” She smiled and turned around. Zaden desperately need her to stay and so he blurted out the next words and regret it, the next second itself
