Chapter 10: Dressing for a Presentation

After a few hours, the two prisoners were surprised to be served a rather good meal. Their cell doors were opened and plates of hot food set on the bed, along with a large mug of hot tea.

“What the hell is this?” asked Melinda sarcastically as she viewed the golden brown lumps of something next to the rice.

“Well, poppet, that there’s right off his Lordship’s table, it is. Called Chicken Tikka Masala, it is,” she was informed.

The smell was most attractive to the two women who had not eaten in a long time. Darlene began eating without hesitation, while Melinda was cautious about trying it. The lumps proved to be chicken, coated with a spicy covering and mildly hot. She ate it eagerly after the first taste.

“At least we won’t be starved,” Melinda commented, dryly. “Tortured, molested, and who knows what else, but not starved.”

Darlene did not reply, being too busy blowing on her tea to cool it enough to drink. Besides, there was really nothing to say. Their future was still uncertain and appeared to be totally out of their hands. At least, until someone made a mistake and their chance to run came.

Half an hour after they finished dinner, two of the henchmen, as Darlene thought of them, came in. Each carried a large box, which he put down on the floor. The dishes were taken away and one box was pushed into each cell.

“His Lordship says you’re to dress in these clothes, he does,” one told them. “So get dressed right quick.”

Darlene looked into the box, wondering what kind of costume his Lordship wanted her to wear. First thing she lifted out of the box was a pair of high heeled shoes, the kind with very narrow Stiletto heels and an ankle strap. They were shiny black patented leather. Next came a pair of black lacy panties followed by a corset, also in black. Then something Darlene had not seen in a long time: a pair of nylons, the old fashioned kind with a seam down the back! Darlene stared at them in disbelief.

“What the hell is this?” said Melinda from the next cell. She was holding up the corset. Her box held identical clothing.

“That is a corset,” Darlene informed. “Girls don’t wear them nowadays but there were all the fashion – about a hundred years ago.”

“Well, I ain’t gonna wear it!” Melinda exclaimed. “I’d rather be nude.”

Darlene was slipping on the panties which, although not being very much cloth at all, did cover her pubic patch – barely.

“Might as well, dear,” Darlene told her. “I’m sure they have ways of forcing us to comply.”

The grins on the two men watching them confirmed her assumption. Melinda put on the panties, and then held up the corset, staring in disbelief at the laces down the back and the stiff stays built into it. “How the hell are we supposed to put this on? And I still don’t know what it is.”

“I’ll help you,” Darlene said. “If they will unlock our necks so I can reach you.” She looked to the henchmen with a question in her eye.
