Austin stared at his granduncle for two seconds and saw him leaning against the pillow with his eyes closed.

Dominic could hardly move his lips while his face was whiter than paper.

Still, the older man was coherent.

Then Austin held the pen and jotted down what his granduncle said.

After a while, Dominic suddenly stopped.

Austin thought his granduncle would continue and looked at him, but the older man’s head had drooped aside.

"Uncle Dom?’ Austin called out tentatively but received no response.
