At the CEO's office in Luther Group, Artemis was lazily leaning on the couch. As he watched the press conference, which was almost ending, his lips curled into a satisfied smile without him knowing it.

He had finally brought that woman to the greatest heights possible in Hallsbay—a spot where no one in Hallsbay could ever reach.

Luther Group's shareholders had all shown up to apologize to her, and that was a grand scene only Bailey deserved to have.

He wanted the whole world to know that he was capable of making the woman he loved a queen even if she was never even a princess.

Right then, the door to his office opened, and Dwayne came in.

“Mr. Luther, LG Corporation's Mr. Gezmond was just on the call with me.”

Artemis switched off the television before asking, “What did he say?”

“Mr. Luther said that Emmy Boutique has sued Luther Group and that the plagiarism case has come to a conclusion. LG Corporation has endorsed for Luther Group a plagiarized work, and it has severely harmed their international reputation.”

“And?” Artemis stared at him and let out a mocking laugh. “Is he thinking of terminating the contract with Luther Group? Does he want to terminate all further cooperation with Luther Group?”

Dwayne shook his head and quietly answered, “When he found out that Victoria was the one who signed the finalized draft, he asked to have Luther Group fire Victoria.

Artemis froze as shock flashed past his eyes.

“Did he really say that? Did he really request Luther Group to fire Victoria?”

“Yes, that's what he said.”

Artemis sighed before a laugh escaped him. “It seems like no man, no matter how calm he is, can escape the concept of love. It's been seven years... Forget it. Tell him this on behalf of me that Luther Group has not done any thieving and that we will be proving our innocence with evidence in the near future. I won't fire Victoria. He can terminate the cooperation with Luther Group if that is what he wants.”

“Okay. About Emmy Boutique...”

Artemis waved dismissively. “Bailey knows her limits; she won't let this go on. She has already accepted the bunch of old men's apologies, so it means she has an ace up her sleeve. You won't need to worry about her.”

Dwayne rolled his eyes. How can I not be worried? No businessman risks his entire business just to dote on a woman.

In a café in the city, Jessica was gripping Rhonda's arm and hissing, “My uncle, Mr. Walker, called me during noon and said that Bailey's the boss of Emmy Boutique. Rhonda, what do I do now? If she presents those two witnesses, and they reveal that I was the one who swapped the draft, I'll be going to jail!”

Rhonda's head was slightly lowered as she muttered, “Jessica, there's no way you're going to get out of this free. I've already consulted a lawyer about this, and she has told me that, at most, you'll be imprisoned for three years. Why don't you... just admit it. I'll do everything I can to make sure that you'll be out within a year.”

Jessica flung Rhonda's arm off before glaring at the latter. She gritted out, “Screw you, Rhonda. You were so eager to use me as your weapon earlier, but now that something has happened, you're making me take the blame alone? Do you really think I'll do that for you?”

Rhonda furrowed her brows and snarled, “Then what do you want? Jessica, the people at Emmy Boutique have already gotten blackmail-worthy information about you. I won't be able to save you at all, so calm down.”

“Ha!” Jessica slowly rose to her feet before looking downward at the other woman. With a sneer, she growled, “If I tell Bailey that her eldest son never died and was actually stolen away by you, do you think she'll thank me? Do you think she'll let me go on the account of my contribution to their reunion?”

Then, seemingly caught up in the heat of the moment, she ignored Rhonda's darkening expression as she went on, “Yes, yes, yes. I have to tell Artemis about this right away. I'm going to tell him that the one who gave birth to his son is Bailey, and she had actually given birth to triplets back then. He's so concerned about her, so I'm sure that he'll be delighted to hear this. If he's happy, he might let me go. I'm going to let the family of four reunite, so he's going to let me go!”

Rhonda clenched her fists that were resting on her lap as a cold glint flickered past her eyes.

When Jessica grabbed her bag from the table and sped out of the room, Rhonda made no move to stop her. Instead, she picked up her phone and called Cadence.

“She has already gone out of the café. I'm counting on you. You have to deal with this for me.”

“Don't worry. I've studied medicine for many years, and I am more than capable of erasing a certain period of memory from a person's brain. I swear I won't leave any traces behind.”

“Okay. Thank you.”

After Jessica exited the room, she headed straight for the elevator.

When she went around the corner, someone suddenly emerged from one of the rooms and covered her nose and mouth before dragging her into the room.
