Lionel gave her the cold shoulder and went straight to the living hall.

The architecture and decorations here seemed familiar because he designed all of them.

He did everything he could to turn this space into a comfortable home.

Yet, the harsh reality jolted him, awakening him from his fantasy.

“How is it? Do you enjoy staying here?” he asked.

Victoria froze for a bit before responding with a cursory smile, “Yeah, not bad. I can find everything I need in this house.”

Keeping mum, Lionel walked to the couch and sat down. He then lifted his head to look at the woman, who seemed a little disoriented. That's the woman I'd loved and hated, and I'll remember all those feelings for the rest of my life.

“I went to the court earlier,” he informed. “In my capacity as the head of LG Corporation, I had withdrawn Fashionista's case against your brother.”

Victoria looked up and stared at him in disbelief. “Y-You're willing to let my brother off?” she asked in a shivering voice.

She thought the man would step up his revenge plan against the Saunders family after the incident the other night. Never in a million years did she expect him to withdraw the legal case against Victor.

“Now is not the time to call for a celebration,” Lionel said. “Though I'd withdrawn Fashionista's case against your brother, he's still convicted of market manipulation. With my help, he'll just need to serve jail time instead of life imprisonment, but the judge will decide on the jail sentence.”

Victoria trembled. Her legs turned feeble, and she collapsed on the cold floor.

Lionel lolled on the couch and continued, “Your brother is already an adult. He committed the crime, so he must face the music. I can turn a blind eye to his action, but he still can't escape the long arm of the law. Besides, it's not my responsibility to rescue him, either.”

Laughing in self-pity, Victoria responded in a hoarse voice, “You're right. It's all his own doing. His motive was clear because he owed several billion in gambling debt. At this stage, no one can lend him a hand anymore.”

She crawled up from the ground, walked up to Lionel, and kneeled before him. “Thank you for showing him mercy, Mr. Gezmond.”

Stunned, Lionel instinctively wanted to hold her up.

However, the interior design of the house once again reminded him of her betrayal.

Hence, he looked away and said casually, “Next, I'll be targeting Saunders Group and Vincent Saunders. They'll have to pay the price for everything they had done to the Gezmond family.”

Pausing for a while, he continued, “It's time for you to leave. You don't deserve to live here because this house was meant for the woman I once loved. Too bad she's gone for good. Get lost now.”

Tears started rolling down Victoria's cheeks.

The “woman I once loved” remark stabbed her heart repeatedly like a knife. Yes. I was the woman he once loved, but I lost him.

“All right, Lionel. I'll await your revenge. My family has done you wrong seven years ago, but don't worry, I'll pay you back what we owed you.”

With that, she stood up and walked out of the door. I'll probably not return to this house for the rest of my life. Lionel, let's bury all the sweet memories we once had in this place, shall we?

Three days later, the wedding between Rhonda and the fake Artemis took place at Hallsbay's Century Hotel.

Meanwhile, Artemis was sitting on the couch at Shelbert Condominium. Giving the man a smirk, Bailey arched her brows. “It's your big day today, Mr. Bridegroom. Shouldn't you be on your way to the hotel? Don't keep all the guests waiting.”

Artemis gradually lifted his dark eyes and turned his attention to the woman. Narrowing his eyes, he asked, “You want me to go?”

Bailey did not know how to respond to his question. Fine! I'll stop teasing him!

Putting on a serious face, Bailey walked to the couch and sat opposite him. “How are you going to end this?”

“How am I going to end this?” Artemis chuckled. “That 'Mr. Luther' will attend the wedding ceremony, of course, since his name appeared on the marriage certificate. You could tell I took great care of Rhonda, too, right? I paid three hundred million for her wedding gown and nearly a billion for the wedding. Though the bridegroom is a beggar...”

He paused for a moment before continuing, “Oh, whatever. I bet she can make do with him.”

Bailey looked at him in disbelief. Why must he be so cruel to that woman? This wedding will be Rhonda's biggest nightmare in her life. She might even go bonkers because of it.

“You mean you don't intend to attend the wedding?”

Artemis side-eyed her and responded with a snort, “What for? I'm not the bridegroom, anyway.”

His assertive reply rendered Bailey speechless.

“I'd rather stay here and spend time with you.”

Bailey kicked him. “Get out of here.”

In the meantime, Felicity had spent a fortune organizing her elder son's wedding.

Members of the public could also celebrate the wedding as the event would be live-streamed.

Besides journalists from all over Hallsbay, international press members had also arrived to cover the ceremony.

In the dressing room, Rhonda stood in front of the dressing table in the three hundred million wedding gown and spun around. Happiness was written all over her face.

“You're absolutely stunning, Mrs. Luther.”
