“What's the situation?”

“Ms. Juliana, Mr. Shurmer will be attending a dinner tonight at Century Hotel. He would be resting in his private suite as per his habit before the dinner begins.”

Juliana tightened her grip on the phone. “Okay, I get it. Everything is to go according to plan.”

“Understood.”

After hanging up, Juliana glanced at the room behind her, a look of resoluteness crossing her gaze.

She had to return to her family, or else Wendy and Sebastian would be in great trouble.

It would be likely that she would never be able to leave if she returned to them, so she was determined to fulfill a dream of hers before that and give her romance a proper ending.

The triennial International Racecar Tournament was held at Hallsbay.

When the official list of participants was announced, the public went into an uproar.

First, the Legendary Racer Adhira wasn't among the participants.

Second, Dexter Nicholson, Chanaea's best racer wouldn't be joining the tournament due to personal reasons and had had his friend take his place.

Bailey could hardly contain her laughter when she went through the comments online.

Why is life so hard? All I want is some peace and quiet, but the outside world constantly denies me that.

She could already imagine the ruckus created by her taking Dexter's place in the tournament.

Her phone rang. When she took it out, she saw that it was a call from Victoria.

Her heart skipped a beat as she picked up the call.

“Where are you, Vicky?”

She could hear the sea breeze and the sounds of children playing.

“Are you by the beach?”

“Yeah. I'm currently at Belmonia Island. I've been wanting to visit the place for a long time but never got the chance to do that. Now that I've gone globe-trotting, I would like to visit all the places that I've wanted to visit.

Bailey couldn't help but laugh. “I've been wondering how you're doing and worried if you're well-nourished. And here you are, having the best time of your life. When are you planning on coming back?”

“I won't be back for some time. My father is always saddened when he sees me in such a state. His health is declining, so I don't want to trigger him. How have you been? I saw the news. Artemis had announced you and your children's relationship with him. When will you be holding your wedding ceremony?”

Bailey arched her brows. When she looked up, she saw Artemis coming out of the kitchen with two dishes. A smile formed on her lips.

“We might be getting married in a few days. Would you like to attend my wedding?”

“Of course.”

Bailey went to the balcony. After some hesitation, she chose to speak up. “Vicky, I think there's something that I need you to know. Lionel and Wendy aren't married, and Sebastian isn't Lionel's kid either.”

Clang!

A loud noise came through from the other side of the line. It sounded like something dropping onto the floor.

“Are you okay, Vicky?”
