“Artemis, what is the offense for assassinating Her Royal Highness of Tarragon? What punishment is there going to be?”

Frowning, Artemis hesitated for a while before saying tentatively, “Assassinating Her Royal Highness is equivalent to assassinating their leader. You should know that Yvette's father was once a powerful person. He had a strong network of interpersonal relationships. After his death, those people voluntarily stayed by Yvette's side to protect her. Shannon is going to suffer the consequences for assassinating her.”

Bailey hissed through gritted teeth, “I'm asking about the punishment. Don't tell me about all these useless things.”

Artemis let out a sigh. “If she admits that she assassinated Her Royal Highness, then that's the most serious crime for Tarragon. She's going to receive the cruelest retribution until she dies.”

Artemis let out a soft sigh as he wrapped his arms around her. “You know that I can save her, so why are you still afraid? Just relax. Don't worry, and be patient. Stay positive at all times.”

He was worried that her restlessness was going to trigger her prenatal depression. It was a terrifying mental disease that could make her lose herself.

Meanwhile, in the study of Tarragon's branch, Micah was discussing with Daniel the ways to cover up the recent assassination case.

All of a sudden, someone kicked open the door. Holden then barged in furiously.

He went straight to Micah and grabbed his collar. “Micah, are you even a man? How could you not protect Shannon in that situation?” he shouted.

Micah's expression darkened, and his facial muscles tensed up, rendering his mien intimidating.

“She is seeking death. What else could I do? Cut the crap! Go ahead and shoot me in the head if you can't stand me.”

“Do you think I don't have the guts to do that?”

Holden had gone to Mount Willow Cemetery earlier to visit his nephew. Staring at his nephew's wordless headstone, he was already sullen enough. To make matters worse, he returned to the city and heard that something had happened to his sister. At that moment, he couldn't stop his fury from overcoming him.
