Beauty's Tear was a masterpiece designed by the famous designer Yara and was considered a treasure in the jewelry design industry.

That piece of jewelry caused a tremendous uproar when it first appeared because it was an exquisite and opulent purple diamond necklace that was Yara's life's work.

Cedric had spent almost thirty years trying to find this necklace but to no avail.

The reason he was looking for the necklace was straightforward. Yara was his fiancée, and he wanted to find her masterpiece to keep it by his side so that it would remind him of her.

Yara was a talented designer. However, fate was cruel to her. The day before the wedding, she passed away in a car accident just as she was about to wed Cedric.

Cedric never married because of that.

In the past, Bailey did not understand Cedric's feelings for Yara.

She had thought that many outstanding women would make excellent wives for Cedric, so she did not understand why he would choose to live in solitude.

Bailey saw their coordinated actions and was so perplexed that she laughed.

She raised her hand and slapped the back of their heads.

The auction venue on the sixth floor was livelier than the banquet hall.

Although Cosmetico's boss, Sofie, managed to bring over a few big shots from the political and business arenas, the auction was still lively and packed.

Bailey found a spot to sit and waited patiently for the auction to start.

A few people were chatting in front of her, and their conversation caught her attention.

“Did you guys find out about Beauty's Tear being auctioned here tonight through special channels?”

“Of course, or I wouldn't have come here. Beauty's Tear has disappeared for thirty years and is known as a treasure in the jewelry industry, so of course it arouses people's interests. Although I don't have much money to bid for it, this trip is still worth it if I can get a glimpse of Beauty's Tear.”

“I heard it from Auro Pawnshop's executives. The auction staff also confirmed it, so it must be true.”

“Oh my god. Is Vespera, the mysterious appraiser, really going to be here? I really admire her. You guys admire Adhira, Anonymous, Morpheus, and Snowflake, but I'm different. I admire Vespera, as I'm really impressed by her skills.”
