“She switched me with her daughter back then and kept me with the Jefferson family, whereas her daughter was with the Shurmer family. Now that I've ruined Zoey's reputation, do you think that woman has returned to deal with me on Zoey's behalf if she is truly Sophia?”

Artemis fell silent for a brief moment and nodded in response. “We can't rule out that possibility. Don't worry. I'll try to dig more information about that woman before we come back to this.”

At the same time, in the Gezmond residence, Lionel called Holden over the phone and told him to come and pick Wendy up.

I don't know what happened six years ago, and I have no idea if I genuinely liked you or if I was only using you. Please give me more time to investigate what happened back then.”

Wendy pursed her lips and turned slightly away, fixing her gaze on the scenery outside the window.

Bailey raised a brow. “Take over my position? I don't remember tendering my resignation.”

“You are pregnant, aren't you? So that means you will soon be on maternity leave. I'll take over your position during that time.”

“Sure. You can stay on the highest floor. There's a mini office out there. You can claim it as your own.”

Chloe smiled confidently when she heard that. She had expected to hear this from Bailey.

Bailey stood up from her seat and scooped the pile of documents on her desk in her arms before heading to the CEO's office.

Seeing that, Chloe immediately took the documents away from her. “Let me do this instead.”
