Yvette concurred with Sofie. It was useless for her to incite small arguments here and there as those would not make the higher-ups from both sides bat an eye.

What's the point of creating small fights, anyway? I can only incite major conflict and turn both groups into rivals if I can make all the decision-makers stand up and voice their opinions.

Pouring Yvette a cup of coffee, Sofie smiled. “It's actually very simple. You just need to send men disguised as members of Tarragon and kill Veikko from the Saviors. His death will surely infuriate all the assassins of the Saviors.”

With a serious look on her face, Yvette asked, “How can I send people to ambush him when he's keeping his guard up? Moreover, he's in one of the branches of the Saviors. Your plan is akin to finding a needle in the haystack.”

After hearing her response, Sofie smiled from ear to ear. “Yes, I agree that it won't work. Anyhow, it's just a suggestion. You can forget about it if you disagree.”

Yvette clenched her jaw and started to grow impatient. “What nonsense! I thought you'd figured out the perfect plan to anger the prominent members of both sects. Now, we're back to square one!”

Suddenly, an idea flashed across Sofie's mind. Grinning, she arched her brow and stared at Yvette. “You are the best trap! With your position in Tarragon, you're more than capable of sending everyone into a frenzy of rage.”

Yvette narrowed her eyes and shot her a cold look. “What are you trying to say? If you have a plan, then spit it out all at once. Don't leave me hanging.”

“I'll arrange for a group of people to assassinate you and then put the blame on the Saviors. This will undoubtedly enrage your father's former subordinates.”

Yvette widened her eyes in shock as she yelled, “You want to make me the target?”

Sofie explained calmly, “You're not the real target, so don't worry. I can guarantee you won't be severely injured. Anyway, the decision is yours to make. Let me remind you that Bailey has just lost her baby, and you must seize this golden opportunity to take action when she's most vulnerable.”

Biting her lip, Yvette hesitated for a long time. Eventually, she gave in and agreed to the plan.

“Okay, I'll take one for the team by enduring this hardship. You must be mindful of the risks involved and keep me safe. If I die, you'll be in deep trouble.”

“Rest assured that I won't let them take your life. It's just an act. Once the show is over, you can marry the new leader as the daughter of Tarragon's former head. However, don't forget our agreement then. You are to do your utmost to assist me in expanding my business empire.”

“All right, deal!”

Sofie lowered her gaze before a smirk crept up on her face.

Since it's going to be an accident, somebody must die. It's more convincing when death is involved, isn't it? What a fool she is to believe that some minor cuts and bruises are all she's getting! What an idiot! I might as well grab this chance and get rid of this woman. Thereafter, no one else in Tarragon will covet the position of the matriarch, and I can then easily let my daughter take over.

The sudden earthquake in Quadfield had resulted in a high number of casualties. Thankfully, there were donation channels set up across the country, and relief aids were able to be delivered to the affected areas.

At that critical juncture, news about the embezzlement of resources by a local non-profit organization in Quadfield was brought to light on the Internet. Rumor had it that the provision of relief aid and supplies were deliberately siphoned off for personal use.

Subsequently, the organization sold the resources to external parties at a higher price, who then donated the materials back to the organization. In the end, the organization made huge profits from it.

The netizens went into an uproar as soon as the news went viral.

Darn it! The people that stole the disaster supplies for the victims should be sent to hell!

There's no way any mishap will befall them if we sit and do nothing. May I know if any netizens have the address of this charitable organization in Quadfield? I'm going to surprise them with a bomb and send them six feet under.

Great! Count me in.

Me too!

Oh my, I'll never put my trust in these unscrupulous organizations again! I strongly suggest all disaster victims share your personal banking information online, and we'll transfer the money directly to your accounts.

You idiot! They don't need money but supplies. Basic survival supplies. Do you understand?
