Shannon's eyes sparkled with cruelty. She strode forward, grabbing Micah's collar and enunciating her words. “I know Sofie wanted you guys to release Yvette. But that is your matter to solve, and it's not related to me. If you guys dare to say yes, I will detonate a bomb so that I will go down with you guys. It doesn't matter whether it's you, Holden, or Bailey. None of you can stop me from tearing Yvette into many pieces to take revenge for Eugene!”

Micah reached out, holding Shannon's wrist. He shouted, “No one has ever thought of releasing Yvette because we know how hurtful it would be for you if we did. I promise you. No one will let Yvette off the hook!”

Shannon shook him off abruptly. “You better keep your word. If not, I don't mind implicating my friends and family in my revenge plan.”

She charged into the cell located on the innermost part of the tunnel. Without scanning her surrounding, Shannon stared at Yvette, who was tied against the torture rack.

Yvette was the biggest nightmare that haunted her, and every unfortunate event that occurred to her was the creation of the woman before her.

Oh, Yvette! This woman is the cause of all of my suffering. My amputated left hand, my son who died tragically, and my removed uterus, she's the one who did all of this to me!

The immense hatred exploded within her. Shannon stepped forward, grabbed the dagger on the table, and stabbed it into Yvette's body.

Yvette's mouth was covered with tape. She wanted to scream in pain, but no sound came out. Her face twisted in agony as her body trembled due to the torment.

Shannon let go of the dagger stuck in Yvette's body before she tore the tape off Yvette's mouth.

“Ahhh!”

Shrill screams reverberated through the desolate, dark cell.

Then, Shannon pulled the dagger out of Yvette's wound, letting the blood splatter over her face. Not once did Shannon blink her eyes while this happened.

The gory images of Eugene lying on the operating table repeatedly replayed in her brain, torturing her. Shannon lifted her hand and stabbed the dagger through Yvette's other shoulder blade.

Agonizing screams and the sounds of a sharp knife piercing through the skin sliced through the room.

Micah stood at the door, watching everything coldly without any emotion on his face.

She has repressed these emotions for so long that if I stop her from doing this now, she will go crazy. However, I must stop her before she kills Yvette. We need Yvette's help to rid Shannon of the crime that she was charged with.

“Shannon, stabbing her to death is too light of a punishment for Yvette. Isn't it better to let her leave so we can continue torturing her?”

Micah didn't mention to Shannon that keeping Yvette alive could help clear her name because he knew Shannon didn't care about that.

Shannon always has the urge to die. Clearing her name and recovering her reputation means nothing to her. The only way I can stop her from acting impulsively is to tell her that she should keep Yvette alive to continue torturing her.

Shannon sneered, gritting her teeth, “What if I want to end her today? Are you going to stop me?”

“Then do it.” With that, Micah left the space.

For the next half hour, intermittent ear-splitting screeches rang through the tunnel, adding a sense of dread to the sinister environment.

In the Hoffman residence study, Raymond furrowed his brows at Juliana, who knelt before him. “Didn't I tell you to rest up at the mansion? Why are you here?”

Juliana lowered her head. “Father, do you still think of me as your daughter?”

Raymond remained silent. Thoughts flashed across his mind.

I wouldn't look for ways to save her life if I didn't think of her as my daughter.

Knowing that his other daughter was unforgiving to him, Raymond had no hope of recovering his relationship with her. If he lost Juliana some more, he wouldn't have something to live for.

With that in mind, Raymond knew he could not explain the situation to his deceased wife when he met her in the afterlife.

Juliana lifted her head, staring at Raymond. “I made a mistake and broke our family's rule. Do you still love me or think of me as your daughter?”

Raymond sighed. He walked past the desk toward Juliana, wanting to help her stand up.

Juliana dodged, avoiding his extended hands as she stared at Raymond determinedly.
