Looks like I can't rely on Bailey anymore. She would have gone to Moranta a long time ago if she wanted to save Julie. With Bailey's capabilities, rescuing Julie from the Hoffman family would not be difficult. But she's just giving excuses, saying we should wait for Edmund's condition to stabilize. His life is no longer in danger, and only his leg is injured. Besides, it's nothing that will threaten his life. Why should Bailey stay by his side and watch over him? Julie, on the other hand, is surrounded by enemies. She's in a dangerous situation, and I'm worried they'd be desperate enough to execute Julie secretly.

“Can't you go now, Bailey? Julie was pregnant with an outsider's child. Even though she had a miscarriage, we cannot deny that she broke the family rule. Besides, Huntley has been incapacitated, so she has no one to protect her. She's in grave danger staying with the Hoffman family.”

Bailey narrowed her eyes slightly and said calmly, “We share the same thought, so don't you worry so much. I know what to do. Please stay put in your ward and recuperate. Julie is my disciple, so there's no way I'll abandon her. However, now is not the time.”

Wendy ultimately gave up. It seems like I can't depend on outsiders. I'll have to meet up with Aunt Miranda if I want to save Julie. Honestly, I didn't hold too much hope in Bailey when I came to find her. If she had plans to rescue Julie, she would have gone earlier. There's no need for her to drag the time. I only came to confirm that something had indeed happened to Julie, anyway. I must head to Moranta now that I've gotten a confirmation.

“Bailey, I thought Mr. Chivers had only hurt his leg? Luther Group's medical team is here. Can they not take good care of his injury? Must you stay here and tend to him yourself?”

Bailey's face darkened in displeasure.

“Ms. Hoffman, are you implying that I purposely came up with an excuse to not save—”

Before she could finish speaking, her phone on the coffee table rang.

She picked it up and saw that it was a call from Zayron.

“Sorry, I'm going to take this call.”

With that, she took her phone and walked toward the window.

“What is it?”

“Bailey, Veikko is about to head to Epea soon. He probably wants to go through with his revenge. Do you want to come to the Saviors' branch and send him off?”

Bailey's grip on her phone tightened.

Revenge!

She knew Veikko would do it sooner or later, but she couldn't stop the heavy feeling in her heart now that the day had finally arrived.

Trouble had arisen, and his fight with his brother would only end in a blood bath.

Even though she wasn't worried about Veikko, it was still a battle of life and death. He would be taking a huge risk if he wanted to win.

“All right, I'll head over right away. Hold him back for a little because I have something to tell him.”

“Okay, but please hurry up. Tell Uncle Zeke to come with you too. I don't want you out and about alone. My father might kill me if something happened to you.”

Bailey didn't answer him and hung up immediately.

She turned to leave when she suddenly noticed Wendy on the couch through her peripherals. Bailey instantly stopped in her tracks.

She stayed silent before saying, “I promise your sister will be okay. The Hoffman family will never dare to offend me. Just give me half a month. I'll definitely go to Moranta and bring Julie back.”

She turned around and left the study the moment she finished.

Wendy stood up slowly.

Beep!

A text message notification sounded from her phone.

She looked down at her phone and saw a text message that read: I've booked the flight ticket, Ms. Wendy. The flight is in an hour and a half. I've also found what you wanted me to look into. Something has happened to Ms. Juliana and Huntley, and Mr. Raymond is about to punish them. Oh, one more thing, Ms. Wendy. Mr. Philip had saved Old Mr. Shurmer a few days ago. Because of this, the Shurmer family owes him a favor. Likely, Zeke and Bailey will not reach out to help Ms. Juliana if Mr. Philip and the others plan to punish her.

Wendy's grip around her phone tightened.

No wonder Bailey wouldn't save Julie. It's because Uncle Philip saved her father. She owes Uncle Philip a favor, and that's why she wouldn't interfere with the Hoffman family's internal affairs. Bailey, Julie's respect for you is all for naught.

At the thought of this, she replied: All right. I got it. I'll head to the airport right away. Make all the necessary arrangements for me for now.

Fortunately, Sebastian and Zayron had gone to the Saviors' branch, so she didn't need to explain where she was going.

After she boarded the plane, Wendy sent Bailey a text to tell her to help take care of her child for some time.

Her trip was going to be dangerous, so she didn't think it would be suitable to bring him along.

The main issue was the child's sensitive identity. His father was the Hoffman family's sworn enemy. Only trouble awaited if they managed to capture him.
