Artemis reached out and gently rubbed Bailey's head. His face was filled with tenderness.

“Take your time to think about it. Don't stress yourself out too much. If you can find a cure, that would be great. But if you can't, it's fine too. After all, you're not afraid of life or death. As long as you're with me wherever I go, that's all that matters.” Bailey cracked a smile.

“Okay, I'll listen to you. I won't force you. It would be best if you can survive, but if you can't, then I'll face the same fate as yours together.”

Artemis said, “Fine by me. Let's get up. I'll show you around. Tarragon Headquarters is located in Mount Arnmond region with a unique geography, and it offers a different kind of scenery for us to enjoy.” Bailey reached out and wrapped her arms around Artemis' neck.

She said with a smile, “Sounds great. Help me put on my clothes.” Artemis kissed her cheek.

“I'd love to.” Inside the living room at Micah's residence, a female special agent brought along a little girl and went into the house from the outside.

“Mr. Neyman, I had brought Ms. Dawn.”

Micah was sitting comfortably on the couch. After he heard the report, he instinctively raised his head, his gaze falling on the young girl standing at the door.

Dawn still felt quite afraid of Micah as she timidly looked at him, not daring to move an inch from the entrance. Micah waved his hand, dismissing the surrounding housekeepers. He then stood up and walked towards Dawn.

Dawn could not help but tremble all over, subconsciously stepping back. Micah reached out and gently grabbed her arm, slowly squatting down in front of her.

“Did your mother name you Dawn?” The young girl quickly crouched down and looked up at him.

“In response to your question, Mr. Neyman, it was Mrs. Luther who gave me this name, and... I really like it.”

Micah could not help but reveal a hint of a smile on his face when he saw how sensible and well-behaved Dawn was.

After a brief silence, he slowly reached out and gently stroked her head.

“You're a good child, and the fact that your mother cares about you shows that both of you are destined to meet.” Dawn lowered her head slightly.

That's because you love everything that is related to Mother. You love me because of your love for Mother. If I were not the foster daughter of Shannon, you probably wouldn't have even given me a second glance.

Dawn said, “Having a mother like her is my blessing. She... she's wonderful. Being able to be her daughter in this lifetime, I feel incredibly fortunate to accompany her by her side.”

The smile on Micah's face grew wider.

“I don't know if I have the honor to become your father, but I hope heaven grants me this opportunity.”

Dawn's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise.

The president of Tarragon, a renowned figure internationally, aspires to be my father?

She mustered the courage to look at Micah and bravely asked, “Do you love my mother very much?”

Micah's gaze instantly softened, and he chuckled lightly.

“Yes, I love her. I regard her as my life. In this world, no other woman can give me such a feeling. Only she can.”

It's just that there's been too much pain between us. She gradually removed me from her life bit by bit, and I'm no longer that presence in her heart. I feel deeply regretful about this.

Dawn shook her head and said earnestly, “Perhaps she hadn't removed you from her life because I often saw her spacing out when alone. I'm still young, so I don't understand the love and feelings in this world. But whatever made her so deeply sad must have touched her heart. If you believe you once held a place in her heart, then it must be you who caused her melancholic.”

Micah raised his eyebrows, seemingly discovering something interesting.

“Little girl, you wouldn't want your mother to be alone for the rest of her life, would you?”

Dawn replied, “I don't want that. That's why I came to see you.” Micah reached out and pinched her cheek.

“Your mother really didn't love you for nothing. Tell me, what kind of cunning thoughts are you having in your head?”

Dawn composed herself and looked at Micah seriously. She then said with a strong and resolute tone, “I can help you pursue Mother again. After spending a few days with her, I feel that she still has hope in her heart. The future is still long, and I hope she can find a good man.”

Micah reached out and embraced her. His emotions were agitated, causing his chest to tremble ever so slightly.

He said, “Perhaps you are the greatest gift bestowed upon us by God. I truly wish I could be your father. Although we don't share a blood connection, it doesn't prevent us from having a loving father-daughter relationship.”

Dawn buried her head in Micah's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. A bright smile appeared on her little face. In her heart, she silently vowed to do everything she could to bring them together.

Mother has suffered so much, so I hope she can find a good man and lives a good life.

At the Fletcher residence in Dellmoor, Chanaea, Tamara was entertaining guests in the living room.

The atmosphere inside was somewhat oppressive, with an air of tension as if they were engaged in a tense battle.

Tamara looked at the noblewoman across from her with a darkened expression and said coldly, “Mrs. Gibson, you must be joking. Although the Fletcher family has a place in Dellmoor, we have not yet reached the point of bullying others with our power. As for the matter of putting Ms. Gibson under house arrest, I can give you a reasonable explanation. She hypnotized my husband into a vegetative state, and now only she can awaken him. Out of desperation, we had to restrict her freedom. The day she figures out how to wake my husband is the day we will grant her freedom.”

Lindsay suddenly laughed softly.
