“Sure.” Larissa agreed pleasantly. “Let’s go outside and take a look around.”

After she walked a short distance with Reuben, she suddenly felt the urge to yawn and covered her mouth.
“Feeling tired?” Reuben asked.

She settled down on a bench beside the winding path and gazed into the distance, saying, “The courtyard isn’t that big, so you can explore on your own. When you’re done. let’s go inside together.”
Standing in front of Larissa, Reuben’s height was tall enough to cast a shadow on her, blocking the sunlight that was directly shining into her eyes.
“You’re not showing me around?” he asked, pu zzed, Reuben seemed surprised that Larissa’s attitude was so much different from when they were indoors

“Tube honest with you, Mr. Cole.” Larissa gave him a formal smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “Xavier kidnapped me and brought me from Covenford to meet you for this blind date. I’ve already married once in Covenford and I’m currently preparing for my secord wedding. Furthermore, I’m not Yvette’s niece, but her illegitimate daughter born out of wedlock. I had no idea who my father was. Mr. Cole, both you and your lather have been deceived, I don’t know what deal the Seymour family made with you, but you should cut your losses while you still have a chance.”
Larissa wasn’t certain il Yvette’s intentions were as she suspected, that’s why she had to co everything in her power to sabotage her mother’s plans.
Reuben seemed to be greatly shocked.

Reuben sat down beside her and asked curiously. “But why are you telling me all this? Aren’t you afraid that the Seymour family will harm you?”
“It’s because you’re a good person!” Larissa beamed.
At that moment, her eyes were dazzling brightly as the sunlight shone on her face.
Reuben was dumbfounded by her beauty.
“You helped me out just now, that’s why I help you in return. Of course I’m doing this for my own sake as well. Larissa spoke openly and honestly.
Reuben snapped out of his daze.
Smiling bitter, he said, “Our marriage is bound to happen. It’s something that we can’t stop.”
“Why?” Larissa leaped up from the bench in surprise. “If you just tell your father the truth, wouldn’t he break off the deal with the Seymour family?
“The Cole family is rife with secrets as well, not unlike the Seymour family,”
Placing his hands behind his back, Reuben gazed up at the blue sky.
