Chapter 233
Dylan and Larissa had just arrived at Microworks when Kevan called and said he needed to start a meeting now and told them to find a restaurant first.
“Well, I just happen to need to get a document in my office. Shall we wait a bit for him?” Dylan sought Larissa’s opinion
“Sure.” Larissa did not mind.
They took Kevan’s personal elevator, and Dylan left Larissa at the presidential office before heading toward the law firm.
The last time Larissa was there, she had attracted a lot of attention in the office. Everyone knew her and was aware of her relationship with Kevan So, when she appeared, everyone tensed up and pretended to be working diligently while sneaking glances at her.
Larissa could sense those looks but pretended not to notice that they were eyeing her. Walking forward in a straight line, she suddenly stopped and glanced over at the person in the cubicle next
to her.
There were several female employees in the presidential office, and they were all dressed in plain formal wear as stipulated by the company. So, they could only “compete” with each other through their makeup All sorts of pertume scents filled the office, blending into a fragrant mix. Out of all these scents, Larissa easily discerned the smell of the perfume that had been on Kevan-the exact same scent.
The source came from the female employee closest to her.

Larissa’s gaze was unabashed, which made the employee rather nervous. The employee managed a weak smile and addressed her tentatively. “Ms. S-Ms. Seymour, is there something I can help you with? Her voice was quivering
Larissa smiled at her and asked politely. “Your perfume smells great. What brand is it?”
“Huh?” The employee was stunned for a moment before frantically rummaging through her drawer, taking out a delicate perfume bottle. The Chanel 5 perfume. It’s the one that got promoted by a bunch of celebrities on Twitter. If you like it, this bottle is yours”
Larissa took it and removed the cap to take a whiff. It was indeed the same scent that she found on Kevan.
“Speaking of which… your taste is quite similar to Mr. Rogers!” The employee treated her as the future female boss and did everything she could to flatter her. “Yesterday, Mr. Rogers also said that this scent was nice and asked me which brand it was!”
“Mr. Rogers asked you?” Larissa was a bit confused
This act of Kevan’s… She could not figure it out.
“Huh? Mr. Rogers asked you about perfume?” Another female employee poked her head over from the next cubicle, looking rather surprised. “He suddenly asked me about lipstick shades the day before yesterday. Near da mn scared me to death!”
Larissa immediately zoned in on her lips. The color was somewhat familiar. It looked similar to
the kiss mark’s color on Kevan’s neck yesterday. But the shade from the kiss mark was lighter, so she could not tell if it was the same type of lipstick.
“Since when did Mr. Rogers care about this sort of thing?” The female employees continued to discuss the matter.
“Is he planning on buying lots for his girlfriend? As they spoke, they kept sneaking glances at Larissa, their eyes filled with envy.
Larissa automatically filtered through everything they said and returned the perfume, saying.” Thank you
She went to Kevan’s office to wait for him.
Sitting on the couch, she could not help but think about Kevan’s motives in asking about perfume and lipsticks from his employees.
These were all women’s items. He could not possibly buy them for himself, but the traces of these things did appear on his body.
