Kevan’s care suddenly focused on her wrists and Larissa lollowed his gare. Only then did she discover the dark red marks from Dorian’s grip on her earlier. The marks were obvious due to how far her skin was,
Kevan’s gaze carkened, and it was a little sinister how dark it got
Larissa shuddered involuntarily as he took two steps forward, grabbing her arm to raise it. He then asked in a low voice. “Cole did this?”
Larissa did not need to lie. “Yeah.”
Biting his ip, Kevan asked again. “Does it hurt?”
Larissa’s mind wert blank as she found hersell captivated by his mesmenting eyes. In a daar, she replied, “Yeah.” Her voice was soll with a hint of hurt. It sounded very much like she was trying to seek attention from him. When Larissa came back to her senses, she was chagrined. What on earth had she done?
Kevan’s eyes narrowed, and the cold aura coming from sim grew heavier. He pushed her onto the sola and retrieved a first aid kit to treat her wrists. While he was applying some soothing cream, he finally remembered Dylan, “Reuben confessed and gave a name. It’s not Jay.”
“Are you sure they’re telling the truth?” Dylan did not quite believe him.

“Wait-” Larissa interrupted them with confusion. “What? Reuben? Wasn’t it supposed to be Darlan?”
These two Cole cousins were completely different from each other. Once you had met them, there was no way you could confuse them.
“The one you met today is the real Reuben, Jay’s biogical son.” Kevan patiently explained to her. “Jay is the type to care a lot about his reputation and image. He feared that people would laugh at how st upid his son is, so he publicly switched his nephew’s identity for his
son’s.”
Larissa suddenly recalled that Reuben-no. I should be Dorian, who told her that the Cole family had many untold secrets back at the Seymour family home. She supposed this was one of them.
She nodded twice to show her understanding.
Kevan continued to answer Dylan’s question, “I can tell they were lying.” In order to survive in that large, complicated family, his lather sent him abroad te barn about micro-expresslors with an expert in the field.
Dylan naturally thought of this too. “Then what name did Reuben give? Who is it?”
Kevan looked at Larissa who panicked, a sense of dread engulfing her,
“They’re related to Larissa?” Dylan asked.
Kevan simply gave the answer. “It was Lana.”
Larissa was surprised, and yet she was also not
The Seymours anginally tried to facilitate a marriage between her and the Cole family. It was because of Kevan’s sudden visit last time that they missed the opportunity, so they probably were not willing to give up.
