The heat permeated through the thin fabric and warmed Larissa’s palm, it was so intense that it bordered on scorching, making her take shallow breaths in response.
“You – Larissa started to become incoherent. Her tongue seemed to be all twisted up, and she could not utter a complete sentence at all
She curled up her fingers in an attempt to escape the source of the heal.
Kevan grunted before taking a deep breath. “Larissa.” He did his best to control himself, just barely forcing himself to speak in a h oar se voice. “I’m a normal man.” He gazed at her with red eyes.
The kiss on his neck appeared in Larissa’s mind, and the smell of the thick Chanel 5 perfume seemed to surround Larissa at that moment.
“Don’t you have a lover out there?” Jealous words escaped her as the fluster from before vanished entirely. She pressed her lips tightly together, and a faint hint of anger could be seen in her eyes.

Kevan froze for a moment before a mischievous smile appeared on his face. “Are you jealous?” he asked.
Larissa turned away to avoid his intense stare. Her voice was high out of guilt. “Who said I’m jealous! She swiftly withdrew her hand, keeping her head bowed low. “Anyway if you have any needs, go find your lover. Our relationship has only ever been one of mutual benefit.”
Atraid that he would catch her again, Larissa ran away the moment she finished speaking. When she reached her bedroom door, she heard him say. “That may not be quite true.”
Kevan’s ambiguous and unclear words stirred up a whirlwind of emotions within Larissa, awakening a sense of romantic longing deep within her.
The next morning, she left her room with dark circles under her eyes. The first thing she saw was the comical sight of Kevan wearing a shirt and tie as well as the floral apron she brought up from her apartment downstairs.
“I made breakfast. Eat before you go.” His smile was light, and his voice gentle.
Larissa rubbed her eyes in disbelief and discreetly pinched herself on her thigh. The pain caused her to hiss quietly, making her realize that she was actually not dreaming. She couldn’t help but wonder if Kevan was pulling on an act.
While she was confused. Kevan took her hand and led her to the dining hall. The table held the breakfast that he had already made beforehand-egg bacon sandwiches and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Larissa blinked as she swallowed her saliva unconsciously.
Kevan pushed her down on a chair, removed the apron, and sal across from her. The way they were right now actually made them look like a regular couple. Larissa felt inexplicably at a loss, not even daring to look him in the eye.
