Dylan nodded guilty. “Yeah. Uncle Dylan won’t do that anymore.”

Seeing that Aster had successfully fudged the whole thing over, Larissa immediately changed the subject. “How come you both came down together?” she asked Kevan, who gazed at her with his fathomless eyes, causing her to feel anxious for no reason.

“You never came up, so I was worried something had happened. I came down to see what was up.” His demeanor was natural, and his lips were curved into a small smile. Even his voice had amusement laced in it. “It’s good that you’re both okay.”
