Sweet Subterfuge

“Really?” The hope in Aster’s heart was lit up by him once more.
“Of course, it’s true!” Kevan answered seriously, and Aster rolled about in bed with joy.
Uncle Kevan was not married, which meant that his gedmother was wrong. It also meant that when she said that Urcle Kevan was not Mommy’s type, it might not be true either. So, there was a chance that Mommy might like Uncle Revan!
Having gained this conclusion, Aster felt a strong drive to match his mommy and Uncle Kevan together at once.

Therefore, when Larissa appeared at the hotel with Aster, she received a good deal of sympathetic greetings from the crowd.
She barely managed to enter her office, and she massaged her facial muscles which were still from smiling so much. She had not yet sat for long when she got a call from the front desk and was informed that two policemen were looking for her.
Security had already told her yesterday that the police would find her today to get a statement from her. So. Larissa quickly invited them upstairs, However, when the policemen arrived, they asked Aster and not her instead, “Hey, kid. Could you tell us in detail what exactly happened yesterday morning?”
Larissa frantically stepped in front of Aster. “Shouldn’t the surveillance footage have it all?” Aster was still too young. She did not want him to suffer secondary damage by remembering the incident. Besides, she heard from security that the footage had already been submitted to the police as evidence.
“Your guest rooms do not have surveillance cameras. The police were helpless too. “We have to be completely certain of what Ruby Cole did to your son when she brought him into the room. Because according to her and he lawyer, she coincidentally ran into your son, who was lost. So, she brought him back to her own room first. She originally wanted to call you to get you to pick up your son, but before she could, you barged in with a group of people and even beat her up. Larissa did not know that Ruby’s shamelessness had reached such extreme levels.
