Chapter 21: Surprise

The black-clad figure creeping along the balcony was outlined against the evening sky for only a second, but had an observer been present, he would have seen the unmistakable shape of a young woman outlined against the final faint glow of sunset. Then she slid open the glass door and was within the apartment and out of sight.

Brandy flattened herself against the wall and tried to calm her beating heart. Quickly she surveyed the bedroom to confirm it was empty. Her normally pale green eyes were glowing with inner excitement as she eased off the small backpack.

What a rush, she told herself. This sneaking into a man’s apartment without being seen is quite exciting.

Silently she closed the drapes. Only when none could see within did she dare to light the small lamp on the nightstand. Quickly she confirmed that the rest of the apartment was as empty as the bedroom.

Then she sighed with relief. The breaking and entering part was over. Now for phase two of her plan.

She pulled both pillows out from under the covers and placed them to one side. Then she took a handful of paperback books from the small shelf, revealing a thick metal ring that had been screwed into the heavy wood of the headboard. Taking the chain, she placed one of the padlocks through the last link and that ring, clicking it shut. Then

tightly as she could make them. She smiled. So far, so good. Then she reached over for the ball gag. She opened her mouth wide and inserted the ball. It was a tight fit and she had to push to get the rubber to wedge behind her teeth. Then she buckled the strap behind her head. She knew that before too long the muscles in her jaw would begin to ache from being forced wide open. It would be uncomfortable. But a little pain was nothing compared

Working only by feel, it took a while but she was very careful to make sure all of the hood was tight and smooth. When the final lace was pulled tight at her neck, the only portion of

an apartment, was trespassing, and should be punished for it. And a discipline hood was not called that for nothing,
