Tessa's POV: 

Thankfully, the doctor said that my injuries were not too serious.I would just have to change the dressing on the wounds every day myself.

When I got discharged, Alvin picked me up.He then asked me out for dinner tonight.

I honestly looked forward to it.I agreed and Alvin said that he would pick me up at 6 o'clock.That meant that I had two hours to get ready.

Immediately, I called Patricia to help me get dressed.She picked out a silky, black, and backless dress for me.

At first, I thought that I would be too overdressed if I wore this.I thought it was just going to be an ordinary date.

But Patricia insisted, saying that the dress suited me, and asked me to try it on.

While changing, I heard Patricia gasp out loud.

"Patricia, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Tessa, come quick.I have news for you."

Patricia tended to exaggerate on normal things, so I didn't really take her seriously.

After changing into the dress, I walked over to her.

"What news are you talking about?"

Patricia handed me her phone.
