Adjusting the flame, Connor walks out with the tray of beef patties and a tray of hot dogs. It doesn’t take a genius to know that the hot dogs will cook faster than the burgers, so I hold off a bit before putting them on.

Someone calls Walker away and I take this chance to go to Quinn and wrap my arms around her. When she glances back, her smile makes my whole world stop for just a moment.
