Taya raised her head to see the pale face. Her lips parted to say,
“First, please visit the doctor…”
Back in Washington, he had mentioned having a headache, but he did give her a fright when he fainted right on the spot after she merely shoved him away. She wondered what happened to him.

Griffon picked up Taya and sat her on his lap, leaning against the
couch to look at her with his head raised.
They were locked in an ambiguous posture. Taya struggled to
get off his lap, but he held her waist to refrain her from wiggling
around.
