After a few rounds of games, Harper realized that Jayden truly had not been to entertainment venues much and didn’t even know how to play cards.

She couldn’t help but take a few more glances at Jayden and asked, “Do you not smoke, drink, or like to have fun?”

Jayden, who had gotten good cards but didn’t know how to play them, pursed his lips and smiled. “Yes, I don’t smoke, drink, or fool around.”

He was completely different from Preston and had no bad habits, a very good choice to be a boyfriend.

But it seemed unfair for a good man like him to become Harper’s boyfriend just because he was angry with Preston.

Jayden noticed her staring at him in a daze, and a gentle smile appeared on his face. “What are you thinking about?” he asked.

Harper shook her head and lowered her gaze to the cards in her hands. As she looked down, her hair fell forward over her forehead, obscuring her view.

Just as she was about to reach out and brush it away, a hand reached over and swept the hair that was blocking her vision from her forehead, tucking it behind her ear.

As Jayden traced his fingertips across her cheek and then brushed her hair behind her car, Harper was stunned. She couldn’t quite put her finger on the feeling, but she sensed that things were moving a bit too quickly between them.

But at the blind date banquet yesterday, she did say that she wanted Jayden to be her boyfriend. Now that they were boyfriend and girlfriend, just let it be.

Harper got shy and said to Jayden, “Thank you!”

Jayden smiled and said softly, “I am your boyfriend now. You don’t have to say thank you to me all the time.”

Harper nodded slightly but didn’t dare to look up at Jayden. Her shy demeanor was evident to someone outside the door.

After rejecting Andre, Preston had a few drinks and tried to get himself drunk, thinking that this would help him fight the urge to go to the nightclub.

But he overestimated himself. After he got drunk, his mind was filled with thoughts about Harper, and he couldn’t get her out of his head no matter what.
