The doctor on the other end spoke respectfully, “Sir, Taya’s blood is different from Rosalie’s. Her genetic typing doesn’t match your mother’s, so we can’t perform the transplant surgery.”
Johnny’s face changed slightly. “Why can Rosalie’s match, but not hers? Aren’t they sisters?” he asked.
The doctor explained, “Even if they are sisters, bone marrow transplants may not always match.”
