A warmth filled Allison, and she answered the boy’s question, “Yes, I kept my promise”

The facilities at Mercy Grove Hospital were quite average, the only advantage being its spacious grounds, a vast lawn, and a garden for entertainment. Allison watched the children running on the lawn and smiled

“Why is Heath here?”

“When he first came, he was very unruly every day. So his parents came to visit every few days, then every few weeks, and then every few months. The last time Heath’s parents came here was three months ago. Laura pointed to another little girl. “That girl has been here for five years, longer than I’ve worked here, She witnessed her parents‘ car accident, and she’s been like this since, hardly talks and always plays alone.”

Allison had been there for a while when she suddenly remembered Adrian was also there.
