Chapter 371

Grace was wheeled out of the emergency room. The doctor pulled off his mask, and asked Allison Zimmer, “Are you family?”

Allison hurried over. “I’m her daughter”

The doctor told her, “Your mom’s out of the woods now. She’s had kidney issues before, and she passed out because of not taking her meds on time. As her daughter, remind her to take them.”

Allison gratefully said, “Thank you, doc. Thanks a lot. How’s my mom doing now?”

The doctor answered, “She’s pretty much okay now, but she’s gotta be careful in the future!”

Allison replied, “Got it, will do!”

Allison went to the room and saw Grace still unconscious, hooked up to all sorts of tubes, getting an IV.

She sat by Grace’s bed, leaned close to her, felt her breathing, and her heart finally settled. She carefully remembered the doctor’s words. Grace didn’t take her anti-rejection meds on time.
