Lysander was probably worried that the kids would strain their eyes or become addicted to gaming. His intentions were good, but his method of communication was flawed.

Atticus thought his father was mad at him. He thought his father even despised him, so he felt hurt and wronged.

A lack of communication had caused the conflict.
