Hertha's heart, previously racing with fear, finally settled down.

She smiled, saying, "All is well. Bridget, you've been such a help."

Bridget let out a sigh of relief, responding, "It's what I'm here for."

"Mummy, Emmeline is so kind. She gave me candy," Julian said with his sweet, youthful voice, his chubby little hand clutching a brightly wrapped piece of candy, his cute face beaming with joy. Kids are simple to please; a single piece of candy can bring them immense happiness.

"Julian, sweetie, we say thank you when someone gives us something," Hertha said tenderly, patting his little head.
