Worried that Alaric might leave for good, Georgia grabbed onto his shirt as he briskly walked away. "Alaric, you promised we'd have dinner together!" she exclaimed.

Up until that moment, Georgia had managed to keep her temper in check, heeding her mother's advice to always coddle Alaric. But seeing him about to run off ignited Miss Georgia's temper in an instant. Gasping for breath in her fury, her voice was laden with accusation as she clung onto him.
