Alaric's sudden appearance at her doorstep, barging into her bedroom of all places, caught her completely off guard.

Her bed, always shared with her kids, was adorned with cartoon-themed sheets that screamed childhood innocence. It was a no-brainer for anyone walking in to realize kids lived there.

Back when she pretended to be Spencer's wife, she could spin tales with ease. But now that Alaric knew the truth about her and Spencer-that she was indeed single-it was clear as day to him that kids were part of the equation.
