Hearing some noise, Lysander turned around, his gaze falling upon them. His eyes were deep and dark, like a black hole, drawing you in. Just one look, and it felt like your heart was sinking, ready to be swallowed whole by his intense stare.

Thalassa met his gaze and felt her heart skip a beat, just as she was about to speak.

Rosalind rushed over in a hurry, positioning herself right by Lysander's side, effectively blocking Thalassa's view and cutting off her line of sight to him.

Tears were swirling in Rosalind's eyes as she looked up at Lysander, her voice weak and sorrowful, "Lysander, how's my dad doing? I came as soon as I got the news. Please, he has to be okay..."

As she spoke, a tear fell from her eyes, landing on the back of Lysander's hand. That tear was warm, almost burning, as if it scorched his skin. His heart gave a slight twitch as he looked down at Rosalind, his voice low and soothing, "Don't worry, he'll be alright."

"Okay, I trust you. My dad has to be okay," Rosalind said, wiping her tears away. It seemed Lysander's words comforted her significantly, as the worry on her face visibly lessened.

"Lysander, what brings you to the hospital?" Rosalind asked.

"I was here for a check-up and saw Matilda rushing over, so I followed her," Lysander explained.
