Rosalind turned, tears streaming down her face, and with a voice heavy with emotion, she whimpered, "Dad..."

Hearing her call him that way tugged at Joshua's heartstrings. He wrapped Rosalind in his arms, soothing her gently, his gaze filled with sorrow as he watched Thalassa and Lysander walking away.

He had two daughters, yet Lysander could only choose one. It was an impossible situation, and Joshua knew one of his girls was bound to get hurt.

From the beginning, he tried his best to fulfill Rosalind's wishes, favoring her over Thalassa, not wanting Rosalind to lose the love of her life. If Rosalind were to marry Lysander, her future and safety would be secured, and Joshua wouldn't have to worry about her anymore.

Thalassa, on the other hand, had always been the resilient one. Even if she lost Lysander, she would only be upset for a while before bouncing back, ready to live her life with her usual positivity and optimism. So Joshua chose to satisfy Rosalind's wishes at the expense of Thalassa. But in the end, things turned out quite differently.

Zephyr watched as Lysander walked away, anger in his voice as he said, "Lysander, think this through. If you leave now, you can forget about ever getting a dime from the Sinclair Group! Are you sure you wan to give up everything for her?"

At his words, Thalassa stiffened, pausing for a moment.

Until Lysander's voice broke the silence, "Why stop? Keep going."
