Alaric held the phone high above his head, just out of Hertha's reach. Seeing the frustration on her face, Alaric remained cool as a cucumber, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Chill out, will you? Just stand back and let me handle this."

"Stand back? Alaric, have you lost your mind?" Hertha couldn't believe her ears. It was her car and her mess to deal with. What did he mean by telling her to stand back?

Alaric ignored her for a moment, pulling out his own phone to make a call. "Yeah, it's down by Dream Street. Hurry up, we need this car towed."

Once the call ended, Hertha scoffed, "Wow, I thought you had some master plan. But you just called a tow truck, didn't you?"

Alaric's smile widened, "Well, the tow service I called is not quite the same as the one you'd call."

Hertha's curiosity was piqued. "How so?"
