Rosalind could tell Joshua was still uneasy, probably because she had brought up Harper's passing. Harper was the apple of Joshua's eye, his pride and joy for so many years. She was an exceptional daughter, deeply in love with Lysander. She was supposed to marry Lysander, Joshua's favorite, the man he had handpicked to inherit his business empire. Joshua had dreamed of retiring early, leaving his legacy in the capable hands of Lysander and Harper. But Harper's untimely death shattered that dream, leaving a void in Joshua's heart.

"I understand. I'll be more careful in the future," Rosalind said, her voice level as she prepared to leave. Then, something occurred to her, and she paused. "Are you really planning to have lunch with Lysander and Thalassa later today?" "Of course," Joshua replied.

"Send me the location. I'll join you," Rosalind stated firmly.

"You're coming too?" Joshua asked, surprised. Before Rosalind could respond, he sighed, "Alright, I'll text you the address once Lysander sends it to me."

Lysander. Perhaps seeing him with Thalassa, happy and in love,

quickly got out of bed, showered, did her makeup, and picked out a chic outfit. She was going to the movies with

half-past five. She was about to text Lysander when she heard a car pulling into the driveway. It was

him. She reached the yard, saw the sleek black

Peering into the car, hoping to see Lysander, she found it empty. Her

quickly explained, "Mrs. Sinclair, Mr. Sinclair had to head to the restaurant and sent me to pick you up." David's sudden use of "Mrs. Sinclair" took Thalassa by surprise. She was accustomed to being called Ms. Everhart, and

"Yes," David confirmed.
