Rosalind could tell Joshua was still uneasy, probably because she had brought up Harper's passing. Harper was the apple of Joshua's eye, his pride and joy for so many years. She was an exceptional daughter, deeply in love with Lysander. She was supposed to marry Lysander, Joshua's favorite, the man he had handpicked to inherit his business empire. Joshua had dreamed of retiring early, leaving his legacy in the capable hands of Lysander and Harper. But Harper's untimely death shattered that dream, leaving a void in Joshua's heart.
