For days, Dorothy had barely eaten a thing, so when she was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace, she didn't have the strength to resist! Before she could even see who it was, she heard a man's pained intake of breath- She had accidentally bumped into his injured chest.

"Everett, you-mmph!" Her protest was cut short as her lips were claimed in a fierce, punishing kiss.

Everett's kiss was desperate, biting, as if he was venting all his frustrations on her! Tears sprung to Dorothy's eyes as she struggled, but she ceased her movements when she detected what seemed to be the metallic scent of blood.
