Everett's gaze was fixed on her, unblinking and intense, as if he was trying to gauge the sincerity behind her words. If it weren't for the fact that she needed to keep a grip on him, Dorothy might have raised her hand to swear on it!

"Trust me this time, I'll be absolutely, absolutely obedient!"

He didn't say anything, just kept looking at her.

Finally, Everett spoke softly after a long moment.

"Alright, then we'll have another baby."

"You really mean it!" Dorothy burst into a smile, wrapping her arms around his neck to plant a kiss on his cheek, "Everett, thank you!"

That left him somewhat at a loss for words.

Everett raised his hand, gently stroking her hair, "I know you're doing this so I won't have any regrets."
