Dorothy cradled his face in her hands and leaned in for a kiss.

"Promise me, we'll forget the past. No more dwelling on it, no more talking about it. I believe everything that happened was just a process, a test of our love. And now that the test is over, we're still together. That's what truly matters."

Everett was just too caring.

His love was always tinged with a sense of owing more, and it showed.
