Miles paused, his face a picture of confusion.

"Me, calling out for Esther?"

"Yeah, I heard it with my own ears. You said her name over and over!"

He glanced down, calculating the time in his head before responding, "The night you spiked my drink, I hadn't even met Esther!"

Sure, he knew of an Esther who had been sending him love letters, who apparently had a crush on him for the longest time but...

Miles was a tech guy through and through, his mind perpetually tangled in the web of computer networks.

He never once entertained the thought of getting to know any girl, let alone calling out Esther's name in a drunken stupor. Even if he was wasted, the idea was ludicrous. "You're lying. I don't believe you."
