Finally, after a hectic drive, Calvin managed to get Felicity to the hospital, where they were immediately ushered into a private room.

Thankfully, after a thorough check-up, it turned out there was nothing serious. It was just a bit of a chill compounded by the wear and tear of a long-haul flight she hadn't quite recovered from.

The doctor administered some fever-reducing medication and suggested they observe her for a bit longer to make sure she was all clear before heading home.

"Alright, thank you," Calvin responded as the doctor left the room. No sooner had the door closed than his phone erupted into a frenzy of rings and vibrations.

He scowled, answering the call with a furrowed brow, "I've got an emergency, won't make it back to the office... What do you mean, the company will collapse without me?... I've already told you I can't make it, are you deaf?" Felicity was just coming around when she caught the tail end of his rant. She wasn't surprised in the least.

Truth be told, Calvin wasn't known for his patience. He simply chose to show a more playful side around her.

Trying to shift her position, Felicity attempted to sit up, her movements sluggish.

From one moment to the next, Calvin's voice switched from raging storm to soothing calm, "You're awake? Let me help you."
