Felicity felt no guilt, so she simply grabbed her purse and walked back to her seat.

"Did you need me for something?"

"Who did you go out to eat with?"

Despite Miles trying his hardest to keep a lid on it, jealousy was palpable in his tone as soon as he spoke.

"A friend."

Felicity didn't want to blow the issue out of proportion, so she gave a noncommittal answer.

He stood up, his warm palm enclosing her wrist gently, "By 'friend', you mean Calvin is still in the friend zone, right?"

She furrowed her brows, "What are you talking about? You're making no sense to me."

"Did you give Calvin a 'trial month' like you gave me?"

"But Felicity, my 'trial month' isn't even over yet." Miles didn't want to hurt her, so his grip was firm but gentle, just enough to prevent her from walking away. Felicity looked at him, "What are you trying to say?"
