Dorothy couldn't help but wonder about Karen's secret. Given their years of friendship and Karen's outspoken nature, it simply didn't add up that she would hide something as monumental as having a child. But what else could it be? Everett, gently stroking his wife's hair, threw out a possibility that caught them both off guard, "Could it be that Felicity has some health issues? Maybe she can't have kids?"

After leaving her position at Lopez Corporation's subsidiary, Felicity hadn't rushed to find new employment. She dabbled in freelance data analysis, picking up projects whenever she felt like it and dropping everything to travel to a new country or city when work felt too overwhelming. Financial worries were foreign to her, allowing her to live at her own pace.

She had little interest in the Pyramids or the Valley of the Kings but was keen on visiting the White and Black Desert and the villages of Tunisia. "Felicity, time for your medicine."

Calvin stood outside her door, a grin on his face as he knocked. Felicity put her phone down, dragged herself to the door, and immediately frowned, "You're not wearing a mask? Idiot, I've got the flu. It's contagious!"

"It's fine. We're not exactly swapping spit, are we?" Calvin barged in, familiarly grabbing a glass of water and the medicine, handing it to Felicity.
