With Wesley’s fingers tapping on the keyboard, the three defense guns that had already locked onto Jarvis began to spin rapidly.

Almost instantly, shells with a caliber of 30 mm spewed out from the eighteen barrels of the three guns!

A barrage of warheads penetrated the camouflaged glass room and, according to the ballistic missile known as Death’s Kiss, unleashed a torrent of flames upon Jarvis.

While the speed of bullets and shells was faster than the speed of sound, at close range, this speed was less apparent.

Under normal circumstances, if a person was shot at from hundreds of meters away, they would hear the sound of the gunshot before the bullet hit them.

However, Jarvis had been meticulously observing his surroundings.

As the speed of light was significantly faster than the speed of sound and the muzzle velocity of shells, he neither heard the sound nor was hit by the close-in defense artillery.

Instead, he saw the three glass rooms at the top of the wall shatter simultaneously, and flames that were at least one or two meters long erupted from each room.

In that instant, he realized that he had fallen into an ambush!

Using his keen senses, he had noticed that a large number of fast and powerful warheads were being fired at him from the three glass rooms, each one menacingly heading in his direction.

Jarvis was now terrified beyond measure.

Without a second thought, he unleashed the reiki in his body and ran desperately towards his right. But with the three close-in defense guns situated just a few hundred meters away, there was little time left for him to react, even though the speed of sound and the initial velocity of the bullet were much slower than the speed of light.

The AK-630 close-in defense gun, with an initial velocity of 900 meters per second, would leave him with less than half a second to react at such a short distance.

Despite running with all his strength, Jarvis sadly realized that the positions he occupied, as well as the direction he wanted to escape towards, were all covered by the extremely fast warheads.

This left him with no possible means of escape.

Jarvis was consumed with bitterness, never having imagined that he could be so vulnerable and

sound, meaning that the shell that hit him had
